On the Treatment of Pediatric Strokes
Few medical situations are as difficult to approach as a pediatric stroke. Parents, doctors, other family and medical staff are devastated by the news. From a medical care standpoint the situation is also difficult due to the lack of large clinical trials demonstrating the best ways to treat children with strokes. Because of this dearth of medical literature in the subject, most physicians are forced to extrapolate their knowledge about adult stroke and adopt it as best they can for the treatment of pediatric stroke.
Hopefully in the future the leaders in the field will design clinical trials for the treatment of pediatric strokes
