Definition: The part of the brain that receives and processes information about the position of our muscles and joints in space at all times. This information is used by the cerebellum and other parts of the brain to plan and coordinate our movements, and to maintain our balance and equilibrium.

Cerebellar strokes affect our the ability to perform smooth, well coordinated movements.
