Neuritic Plaque

Protein conglomerates which are found inside the brains of people who suffer from Alzheimer disease. The conglomerates are made of a protein called beta-amyloid, which accumulates outside of neurons and other brain cells, in a space known as the extracellular space.

Neuritic plaques can only be seen under the microscope.
