Definition: Condition caused by a deficiency in the formation of blood clots.

People who have bleeding disorders tend to bruise easily, and bleed longer than normal when they are wounded. Sometimes these disorders are passed down genetically from a parent to a child (such is the case with hemophilia). Other times, they can be caused by liver and bone marrow conditions.
